Quit Tobacco - Tobacco Health Warning

Tobacco health warning appears on cigarette packets. It is among the strongest defenses against the global epidemic of tobacco. WHO approves warnings that contain both pictures and words because they are the most effective at convincing people to quit.

Half of the smokers die of tobacco-related diseases. Second-hand smoke harms most that is exposed to it.

Breathing in any sort of burning tobacco is harmful. The toxin in tobacco smoke travels anywhere in the body causing harm to nearly every organ and system of the body.

A comprehensive strategy including bans on tobacco advertising and sponsorship, tax increases on tobacco products and cessation programmes can reduce tobacco consumption in many countries.
